My four-year old Nick was playing with his brother when he took a fall and busted his chin open. I knew right away he was going to need a stitch or two. So I told him he had to go to the Children's Mercy and he went ballistic crying. He was scared to go to the doctor and scared to get a shot and didn't know what to think about stitches. So we took him to South and got in right away. The nurses and doctors were awesome. He asked if he was going to have a shot and they told him no, and that he wouldn't even need stitches. So they used this swab thingy to numb the area and used some of that medical grade superglue to close up the cut. It took about a half-hour and then we were back in the car, he had a superhero sticker and a sucker and we were all thrilled to have the best kid's hospital ever right here in KC.
